Can't install FTX Global into P3D v4 on the same drive as FSX

I just got my hands on P3D v4 and went ahead and installed it on the same drive as FSX, which also has Orbx, but I'm running into the problem of installing FTX Global into P3D. FTX Central says I already have it installed and up to date, which is true for FSX but on the same drive (with only 62GB left) I have P3D v4 installed and I can't find the option to install it into P3D's path. I looked at the announcements made by Orbx on doing this, but I already have the latest version of FTX Central and I am unable to select a simulator. Do I uninstall FTX Central and then from there just choose P3D? I can tell that some people are slightly confused by this but everything I've seen so far does not really address the exact confusion I'm having.
