Doubt about FS Flight Keeper.

Featured Replies

Hi all: I have got FS Flight Keeper because I have been told it's a great program (no doubt about it) and especially because it has a Flight Tracker which allows to see the AI TRAFFIC. The question is that Ionly get to see the AI TRAFFIC that is around my aircraft, and don't know within which range, but actually I would like to see the AI TRAFFIC all over the world without having to move my plane the same way. Does anyone know if what I want is possible and which would be the way to do it?. Thanks in advance.

Hi,A few things:You can zoom in and out and in the status bar it will tell you your coverage area.AI traffic is not active for the whole world. The world is divided into sectors and AI traffic is active for the sector you are currently in. For the other sectors, AI runs in the background and becomes active when it enters your sector. Likewise when AI leaves your sector it now runs in the background. For another AI traffic viewer you can download the TrafficToolbox SDK from MS and it does a pretty good job.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg

Ok. thank you very much, Jim. I have seen more or less what you mean. Anyway, another question is that for example, in the area of London, I see that in that sector there's a more or less wide area, but I only get to see the ground traffic for the nearest airport to my plane. Is that normal?. (I am aware that the sector includes Heathrow and Gatwick, at least, because the map shows planes flying which are farther away in a wider area, but I only get to see the ground traffic for an unique airport, the nearest). Thanks again.P.S.: I also tried the MS TrafficToolbox, but I don't find so interesting, since I understand it doesn't have a terrain map.If were wrong correct me, please.

Hi,Right, because for your plane that is the Ai that is most important.Right, also about TToolBox. It is more of an AI viewer not a moving map. However, you can display all ground traffic, and if you know the relative locations of the airports you can gather the information. For example, I fly out of Detroit Metro and I can zoom out to see the traffic at neighboring airports. OK. My first intention was to find a Flight Tracker for FS like the real traffic ones, but I must understand there's not such a thing like that for FS.Thanks again.
