GE2006 needs darker trees

Featured Replies

I agree with you Tom, and these do seem to look better. Thanks for the sharing your find!RegardsMatt

Hi Tom,very nice screenshots, especially number two....however, the rural fields on the number one shot are not GE, could you please have a look at that?If you are unsure about this, contact me on [email protected]

just before i took the screenshots i did the update 10.0.4 for GE2006 and applied all GE2006 changes again to my fs9. the region on pic one is LOWI standard runway heading straight out for like 2 miles. if that is not GE2006 i dont know what else it could be, i have no photoreal stuff installed.regards, tom.update:just to be sure i just did the complete GE2006 update again. it looks 100% the same. here is the whole picture.http://tomyeah.com/images/darker_trees.jpgif that is really not GE2006 texture it could be caused by checking the "Ultimate Terrain Europe" option in GE2006 ? i just checked all options and installed em as usual. (i dont have Ultimate Europe though, but i thought it couldnt be wrong)

fox450: you were right, i just checked all my installed packages. it seems like Austria Pro 2004 Landclass has an extra texture folder. i used now the freeware landclass and got totally new textres. somehow they look brighter now and less saturated. my dark trees look almost too dark now ;(http://tomyeah.com/images/darker_trees2.jpgregards, tom.

no worry, they did look too dark from the start... ;)i'm actually looking for lighter trees, especially conifers

hm, i just checked diffrent locations. somehow i like em, for example in canadian mountains, the fit perfectly into the ground color.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/144017.jpg

Hey Tom,Ofcourse I am right, I am the developer, together with Peter, of GE ;-)

fox450: hehe, i bet you've seen this textures a thousand times.but i really must say that the darker trees do look better, especially in shadow areas where usually the too bright trees stand out of the ground.regards, tom.

HI there;this is not our textueresNot sure how you think they are?Interesting though the lower shot is partly ours. Some textures in there look altered?I think you are using maybe some freeware or other payware together with GE.I've been asked many times now. "If I have this other texture set intalled called FSkeen or BOT do I have to uninstall them.!Yes, but make sure if you do they do really uninstall them and also make sure you run GE again after you uninstall them.Again, I state I know it's not intentional but nevertheless that shot is not ours. So the best advice I can give to anyone reading this is don't try and mix and match our textuers with other sets. It won't work.UT won't be causing this. What could cause it is a program that uninstalls or installs something is not doing what it should be doing.Maybe also a mistake you made.Bottom line is that top shot is not ours.
