March 5, 200620 yr Hi,Experiencing a bit of a problem here. When I select the Map or GPS I get an immediate CTD. Only thing I can think of that might have caused this is that I did a system restore a couple of days ago. Has anyone else experienced this? The sim works OK and I would hate to have to re-install with all the add- ons that I have. Any suggestions?Kev
March 6, 200620 yr I haven't encountered that. Does it happen on all the panels/planes or only on certain ones?

March 6, 200620 yr I have run into that once or twice--don't know why. But I eliminated it altogether by turning off the "map" part which displays terrain for the map and GPS. I've never received one since, although I can still toggle it on and off during flight as needed. I believe the FS9.CFG has an option which allows you to turn off the terrain by a flag, but I don't know the exact setting.-John
March 9, 200620 yr Seems to me a bad addon (Aircraft/Scenery) install or corrupted scenery file :- A wrong Approach XML procedure that has one UNIQUE bad entry will cause an immediate CTD without warnings.Issue : locate, disable, remove or fix the Approaches procedure.- A wrong install of one of those many addons that puts dll files in the module folder will cause an immediate CTD without warnings.Issue : reinstall those addons, and get support from the official producers.- A corrupted bgl file (false compilation, wrong calculations such ad dynamic scenery library trying to chex FS time of day...) will cause a direct CTD.Issue : kill the dynamic scenery by removing it from any active FS scenery folder- Too many overlapping Afcad files of the same airport, or different airports having the same ident will cause a CTD. Issue : load only the UNIQUE Afcad that should be used.(...)There are many other possibilities, bu I don't know themKarl
