FE Clouds

Featured Replies

Will using FE dxt2 clouds improve my performence from the fs2004 default clouds?ThanksAlexwww.fs2crew.comhttp://www.fs2crew.com/betateam.jpg

There are no DXT2 clouds in the sim, or with FE. Was that a typo and you meant DXT3?If so the answer is - `maybe`. Without knowing the rest of the specification of the rig it's impossible to answer.Try it and see.Allcott

Sorry typo. I meant DXT3. I have an hp a1020n with 1 gig of ram an a radeon 9250. I jst do ot want to buy it with out knowing.ThanksAlexwww.fs2crew.comhttp://www.fs2crew.com/betateam.jpg

Then dont' buy it. Because no-one can answer the question for your computer without trying it first. There are freeware DXT3 lo-impact clouds, you could try those first and see of they have any effect. But really you're asking too much of a computer with that spec graphics card to run FS eyecandy.Allcott

I actually get good performence while using the lvld 767 fs2crew flytampa airports and birdeyes view summer.ThanksAlexwww.fs2crew.comhttp://www.fs2crew.com/betateam.jpg

The you've probably answered your own question. Get FE and try the various lower-quality options.Allcott

just FYI,when we were beta testing FE most uf us testers found the 256 size clouds actually ran better (smoother) then the DXT3 sets....

Alex,No reason not to buy. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee. You can try it on your system and if you don't like it, get a refund. But I bet that once you have it, you will keep it. They are the best looking clouds available, by far, IMHO.Wilson
