April 1, 200620 yr So another brand new business jet in the market. It's always a good thing that some developers decide to do a business jet. For the FS years known to me, it has always seemed that those who are capable and willing to do advanced stuff like a FMC don't what to do it for anything smaller than a Boeing. So in my opinion a full functional business jet for FS has always been non-existent.Now let's look at the new SJ30-2. Fist thing I want to say is I HAVE to stop calling it by that name because even the developers and distributors aren't calling it by that name. Instead it's called "Flying with the Stars". After searching and checking just about all screenshots available I am...well confused. What is this thing???? Looking at the cockpit, it's an "ordinary freeware level" replication of the realworld counterpart to say the most. The developer is well known...for his small GA plane creations. I am guessing that giving that fact this product may be a "blast to fly". But in terms of system simulation or accuracy or realism I want to tell myself to just forget about it. Ok...fine...for its price tag I guess I can't really complain in today's market. Well in terms of the low polygon "celebrities" in the cabin...it may have been designed to be a "fun factor" for customers. But somehow it seems to me like a bad joke. After all, it's just me. To me the message from this product is that "we are really bored". We aren't doing anything serious anymore till FSX comes...but at the meantime, we still want some of your money.Jason

We aren't doing anything serious anymore till FSX comes...but at the meantime, we still want some of your money."I read your post Jason, and I think you owe Bill Lyons a lot more respect than that. Bill has made every past payware project he's offered available to our community for free. His Luscombe and Challenger are payware quality even today--maybe not to the "I want a FMC to fly my plane crowd", but certainly to those of us who've spent real time in that class of aircraft. Maybe Bill didn't hit a home run with this package in your eyes, but he's given far more to our community than he asks with this package, and to sum him up in the way you do above is pretty disrespectful in my opinion. My opinion--people will buy it, and some won't, but Bill's earned the right to put his projects up for bid. He doesn't deserve being summed up in a one paragraph flame against the "thought" of selling something beneath someone else's standards. -John
