Saving a flight state in mid-flight

Hello everyone, I am new to x-plane 11 and as the title suggest I am confused about saving a flight and then loading it in some other point of time. I save it as a situation but when I load it , the gears are down,auto pilot behaves strangely for some time until I fix it and most importantly the data in the FMC is somewhat lost except the LEGS page.

And does saving the flight as a situation saves the state of 124thatc ?
