Austrian Airports 5: LOWI

Featured Replies

How do I get rid of the static airplanes with the addon for LOWI from FSQuality? I deleted what looked like static airplane files but still have an Austrian F100 and a few cessnas sitting around the airport. Thanks

Hi Al, I kaven't got this addon, but a couple of things occurred to me. Firstly, do the statics only appear at high scenery complexity settings? If so, consider pulling the slider back to below that setting. A better alternative would be that the authors have provided information for extracting the relevant bgl from the scenery folder. That info should be available on their website/forums, and would be the preferred option if available. The last but most tricky option would be to experiment with a little gem of a program called '3D Remover' which can often do the trick by decompiling the relevant scenery bgl, extracting the offending code and recompiling. The last option is not to be recommended unless you are au fait with those kinds of operations as it can have unwanted side effects. I have used it successfully on some older style airports. Hope this helps and maybe someone will have yet another idea.

Thanks for the tips. I do have my slider all the way to the right and would rather not get rid of all the great eye candy around just for 2 out of the way static airplanes. anyway, there are tips on their website but they dont relate to the version I have, their website is wayyyy out of date. they talk about a patch to the scenery that was released january 2005! I have emailed them and am hoping to get a response.Anyway thanks again
