I am having a very bad problem with FS9 crashing on start up.When I click the desktop icon the loading screen comes up and stays that way for appx 2 min then just disappears.FS9 will not load up,I had just flown and had notdone anything to the computer.I tried just clicking the exe inside the main FS9 folder and the same thing happens.I went into safe mode and tried it and still no luck all my other programs started not FS9.I had this happen last month and had no luck out of Microsoft tech support on the problem.I had to uninstall everything and reinstall everything.I hate to do that again but I was hoping someone might have a idea on whats causing this problem?My computer is a P4 3.2 with a gig of ram,a ATI 800XL card with 256 ramI also have my spyware and anti virus disabled JeffG

Hi Jeff,Your CTD's could be caused by several reasons. I would first backup your FS9.cfg and restart the sim and let the FS9.cfg rebuild itself. If that doesn't work, try checking out your scenery.cfg for errors (areas/layers do not match or out of sequence). If you recently installed new aircraft or scenery, try disabling those sceneries or aircraft. It might be a video card driver problem too or duplicate AFCAD's. Check out your application events and see if it shows a reason for the crash. Hope one of these solutions works for you.JimYoung
