March 5, 20188 yr I am 'flying' the freeware Avro York c1 and I have a problem with the Ignition Switch (marked 'IGN'). Simply put, when it is in the ON position, it is OFF, and vice versa. Is there a relatively simple way to reverse the function to correct operation? I am not a programmer, but am able to change entries in < .cfg > files and so on. As always, any help much appreciated.
March 5, 20188 yr If the 'ON' and 'OFF' lettering is on the panel background bitmap, just swap them over in MS Paint or your chosen Photo editor. Edited March 5, 20188 yr by A32xx Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."
March 5, 20188 yr Author Brilliant! Your response inspired me to go slightly further. Opening up the panel.cfg file I found two .bmp files for the switch lever, one named ON, and one named OFF. I figured the original author had just got the names of each file the wrong way round - so I changed them over (carefully!) and, bingo! The switch now works in the correct manner. I then decided to add the words 'On' and 'Off' to the switch background plate of the switch (another .bmp file), which was missing. I did in PhotoShop CC. It was very easy to do, and I am grateful for the assistance given. My switch now looks right, and it works correctly.
