Top Half Sky Total White "overcast"

Featured Replies

Greetings from Colorado,

Lots of smart folks on this forum so I hope somebody can assist.  Have been updating the sim from FSX to P3Dv4.1 with Prosim 2.01, REX Texture Direct, Opus FSI, UTL, and a couple minor addons.  I generally fly out of KCOS towards the west.  I gave consistently getting a large amount of what appears to be high overcast somewhere above FL 350 that make the entire upper half portion of the sky white.  I have tried a host of fixes that have not had much effect of the phenomenon.  Namely and in no particular order,  re-saving my default flight under clear skies (P3D option), adjusting cirrus parameters in OPUS including setting the max height to much lower, reverting REX TD textures back to pre REX conditions (via the REX TD interface) and probably some others.  The overcast can be reduced upon refreshing the METAR data in OPUS, but then re-appears after 20 or so NM.  It also seems to disappear after descent to 20K or so ASL.

My hunch is that its a maybe REX thing but not certain.  How could I revert my textures back to pre-REX without using the Rex interface which I don't seems to trust for some reason...

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Keith
