June 30, 200619 yr A really wierd problem has developed, apparently on just one aeroplane - Rick Pipers lovely Chipmunk which I've been flying for ages.On opening FS9 with the ac sitting on the runway with engine at tickover there is no sound at all, save wind-noise which I guess is from Actve Camera? Open the throttle, and at about half throttle - 2000 rpm - engine noise comes in strongly but as the aircraft accelerates the engine noise fades away until by lift-off there is no engine sound at all! Once airborne, in spot and tower (flyby) views there is no sound either. I've reinstalled the aircraft from a fresh download and it hasn't made any difference. All other aeroplanes seem to work as well as they ever did. Any boffin out there have any idea what's wrong? Thanks!
