getting error message about ezcam?

Featured Replies

Hi

just installed Chase plane today.

I originally had ezcam and then I updated to ezdok2.   Prior to installing Chase Plane, I uninstalled ezdok2. (Ezcam previous version was already uninstalled)

Now, when I start CP it gives me an error message that there are conflicting entries in camera cfg from ezca? It tells me to run the eczcam cfg to fix this bug.

I tried running ezcam cfg and told it to restore all settings but the error keeps coming on when I start CP??

Using W10 and FSX

Thanks

Here is the exact wording of the message:

"we found the presence of 3rd part add ons in camera.cfg of your computer. to fis run EZCA cfg to fix this bug. Otherwise the cameras will not work correctly"

As I said, I ran this file and told ezcam to restore all settings back to default?

As I had also installed Ezdok2 after Ezcam, I also ran the cfg for that version?

(Both versions of ezcam were also uninstalled.)

This has not made the error go away?

Thanks

I fixed it myself!

The error message is incorrect as the references to ezcam were NOT in cameras cfg but were in

fx cfg.

I deleted these lines and all appears to be ok now.

All's well that ends well but, kind of disappointed at the lack of response to my problem?
