Velana International Airport, also known as Malé International Airport is the main international airport in the Maldives. It is located on Hulhulé Island in the North Malé Atoll near the capital island Malé. Today, the airport is well connected with major airports around the world serving as the main gateway into the Maldives for tourists. The airport is on an island of its own with no run off room at the end so be ready to go around or you could get your feet wet, should you land long.

This month's challenge is to see how well you can fly from Bandaranaike Int'l Airport (VCBI) in Sri Lanka and cross the Laccadive Sea to Hulhulé (VRMM) with either either the Canadian Xpress® Airbus A319-111, Airbus A320-200, Boeing 737-700 or Boeing 737-900 which are available to all pilots regardless of rank but only for the challenge.
