Taking AS to the Next Level - An Idea

I was reading about how the wildfires in California are now threatening Redding, for which I have an ORBX airport there.  In addition to Active Sky products reading winds and weather, wouldn't it be a natural progression to simply start by adding smoke in regions (simulate w/ fog perhaps as an easy way to get started?) and place this where the fires are reported on maps and automated reporting servers such as skyvector (and take into account wind directions)?  It would take realism up a notch.  Could even add updrafts in these zones.  Then eventually add real animated fire effects within these regions.  If done right, imagine the night views...

I think it would help the FS Universe feel a little more alive and ever changing based on real events.
