October 30, 20187 yr Hi,planning to use P3D with HTC Vive Pro and trying to figure out what hw configuration to use. Video card for the configuration is going to be 2080Ti. CPU is going to be some i9, but what is enough and what is just too much? Is the most expensive (i9-7980XE) the best for this use case? Not sure what to prioritize from number of cores, base frequency, boost frequency, threads or cache?What does the P3D benefit the most and what is not that important? Are there some restrictions in P3D? How many cores or threads can be used?Price of CPU is not on the list and just trying to find the optimal CPU for the system.Also if you have some recommendations for a good motherboard, those are also appreciated.Thanks.
