How are Weather and clouds in FSX?

Featured Replies

I continue to be frustrated by the lack of 'opacity' in clouds in FS9. Have they improved the clouds in FSX at all? Can you enter a cloud and actually be 'in the soup'?

I've been one of the voices screaming for better clouds/weather systems and if you have the demo, you will see what's in the beta. As far as I can tell, the clouds are *somewhat* the same as fs2004 but seem to hold themselves up better as you get closer. They *still* pop like balloons as you get in them but last a little longer if that makes sense.

They seem to do a lot less damage to frame rates in FSX. I like them and think they look fine.
