Vista (5536) and FSX

Featured Replies

I've installed Vista (5536) and FSX and so far it seems to have similar performance to XP although I do have an old rig and have only been using it a few minutes. Here's a pic from the Vista Games folder, notice the how the Vista performance rating is used (right side of image).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154936.jpgAs you can see my old rig (overclocked) doesn't rank that great, according to my rating, but with medium(ish) sliders in Vista I get approx 15-20 FPS, about the same as XP.All-in-all I can't wait for Vista, FSX and that new, state of the art, rig w/DX10 card when available. Yep, '07 is going to be an exciting year indeed. :-)-ThadRig Specs:Athlon 2400+ overclocked to about 3000+1 Gig PC 2100 memgeForce FX 5900SE (128)

If this performance rating is as accurate as Explorer's time estimations during file operations I wouldn't pay too much attention to it...Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg
