August 21, 200619 yr I've ran a search on flashing panels in FSX demo, but have come up empty handed.Has anyone else had a flashing panel problem?System specs:AMD FX572GB RAMtwo 7800GTX 512MB in SLIrunning FSX at 1920 x 1200, UltraHigh graphics settings -- I'm using the FS2004 profile provided by nVidia. Intro screen is fine, just flying and I get 1/2 of my screen flashing so I assume this is a compatibility issue with SLI ?If so, any temp fix other than disable SLI?Will SLI support be in the final released product? Also, I ran the demo on another AMD dual core rig and noticed that the 2nd CPU really wasn't being used for much, should I assume that FSX will not have true thread specific CPU support? For those of you interested in Core 2 X6800 Extreme CPU performs I have the CPU -- unfortunately the nVidia 590 SLI Intel Edition motherboards are not yet released retail. Once that is available I'll post some framerate numbers. So far the frame rate is not great -- low of 14 fps and it seems terrain textures are very low quality regardless of setting. Thanks, Rob.

August 21, 200619 yr i have the flashes in the panels as well from time to time.I have a AMD64-3800x2 with a single geForce 7800GTX.I'm sure this will be sorted out in the final Version.Cheers,Michael

August 21, 200619 yr My solution to the flashing panels was to set the GPU rendering mode to "Single GPU" via the nVidia profile (aka turn SLI OFF).However, this has obvious implications, no SLI support in FSX which seems very strange to me considering several other current DX9c games do provide full support/benefits from SLI configurations. Also FSX is a prime candidate for SLI support since it uses very large textures (at least in FS9 they're large textures) -- 1GB of video memory would be a big plus for performance. So what is the reason no SLI support til DX10? That doesn't make much sense to me, can someone clarify? This is pretty important to me as it will determine my GPU purchase -- can anyone provide more accurate details on SLI support?I was considering two 7950's for quad GPU and 2GB video memory, but it sounds like that might be a complete waste of money.I also noticed that shader support (shadows) -- specifically those that extended across water are very grainy (I know that 7800GTX 512MB support Shader 3.0).Some of the things I did like:1. Moving traffic (fast moving traffic at that)2. AF support 3. VC only4. Terrain and buildings and trees better match environment.5. Reflections (but needs some polish)6. Cloud layers/types (almost as good as ActiveSky)Thanks, Rob.
