Mutli thread application (dual core)

Interesting article at http://www.simflight.com/modules.php?name=...rticle&sid=8242"Q: About processor support: there was mention of FSX being a multithreaded application. Is this true and if so: how many threads can FSX use simultaneously? In what way will multi-core CPU

If that's true, then it certainly isn't apparent in the demo. (I know I know, it's a beta, but I see some screenshots where textures are very sharp, and then sometimes I go fly to an island and the texture is basically a solid green tile). So I don't know if my duo core is making a differnece.

If so, this is>great, and good news for Megascenery fans.Correct. We use background threads for file I/O and texture decompression/composition tasks and they should be sent to extra CPUs if available.
