August 12, 200619 yr Hi everyone. I have been reading these posts for weeks and have been ashamed to jump in - after all, I am using an eMachines with Celeron 2.93 with onboard graphics, 1 gig PC3200 ram. My computer certainly doesn't compare with some of the Monster Machines I have read about on this forum. But, my computer runs FSX demo with "flying" colors. Granted, I am only using 1024 X 768, but I am getting between 20 and 45 fps -depending on location - with the graphic sliders up about 2/3. When they are full to the right, my graphics crashes, but again, this is just a demo.I have only 96 meg of shared video memory, but according to the "Information" utility, the game has only used about 60 meg.I do have a question for those who are conversant with the config files. My graphics chip is the intel 82865 and there is a section for that chipset in the diplay.cfg file. However, what is the significance of the line: VideoMemoryOverride=64108864Most early 82865 chipsets had only 64 meg, but mine has 96 meg. Am I limiting my graphics to only 64 meg unless these numbers are changed? Thanks for your help.Ralph
