Improved flight recorder

I've noticed with P3D4.4 that the flight recorder is much improved, able to handle long flights without the stutters that used to exist in the FSX recorder or earlier versions of P3DV4.  Has anyone else noticed this or tried the recorder?  I have two flights saved, one from SFO to Santa Ana in a Citation and one from Tahoe to SFO in the Carenado Shorts 360.
