Some general FSX questions...

Featured Replies

Afternoon AVSIM,two questions...1. Will ground AI (baggage, fuel trucks etc...) attach to AI aircraft when they dock, as they will do with the users aircraft?2. Will FSX have continuous night/day transition instead of the gradual transition we see in FS9?hope u guys can answer my Q's...

>1. Will ground AI (baggage, fuel trucks etc...) attach to AI>aircraft when they dock, as they will do with the users>aircraft?Yes.>2. Will FSX have continuous night/day transition instead of>the gradual transition we see in FS9?Not sure what you mean. Isn't 'continuous' and 'gradual' effectively the same thing?

Further expanding on the ground AI vehicles, will the ground vehicles work with 3rd party add-ons and other non default airplanes? How does the vehicle know where to put the gate, baggage loaders etc etc?

thats great news about ground AI looks like the airports are guna get a whole lot busier.regarding Q2, in FS2004 the sim reloads so it can change the colour of the sky to simulate the sun setting/rising. Will it still be the same in FSX or will it be like the real world?hope you understand... AirBadger86 -- the air bridge will navigate to a certain point on the a/c, obviously near the center of the door, developers will be able to expand on this

>Further expanding on the ground AI vehicles, will the ground>vehicles work with 3rd party add-ons and other non default>airplanes? Well FS2004 will change times gradually. Just set the sim rate to 128x and watch. Sun goes down, skies get dark, lights come on, etc.

I think he's referring to the "granularity" of the changes... they seem to happen even 5 mins but would be less noticible if say they happened every 1 min (ie smaller changes every 1 min instead of bigger changes every 5 mins)

Ah, I see. I don't think that's changed. But, I mean, you really think the change is too abrupt???

>Ah, I see. I don't think that's changed. But, I mean, you>really think the change is too abrupt???Yes when the textures change they are VERY abrupt.Carmine http://forums.avsim.net/images/wave.gif

And you have Dane/dusk texture smoothing enabled I presume?

Mike, Yes it is enabled but GENERALLY the textures/shadows/lighting just change quick. They're NOT INSTANT but just NOT gradual enough.Carmine http://forums.avsim.net/images/wave.gif

Doesn't sound too hard to fix, maybe they will do it.
