July 14, 200619 yr After seeing the new video (SharedSkies) from the other topic listed on this forum it got me thinking about the Xbox 360 Controller. If you use FSX with the 360 controller can you hook up the headset to the controller to do things similar to what is shown in the video? Or, will I have to buy a new headset for the computer?
July 14, 200619 yr But in the video they were using headsets other than the one that is made for the 360. I was talking about the headset that plugs directly into the controller (which is not shown in the video). Maybe one of the friendly developer types might know the answer. Here is a link to a picture of what I'm talking about: http://pics.computerbase.de/1/3/7/3/0/105_k.jpg
July 14, 200619 yr Good question. Guess the others couldn't figure which headset you were referring too.IMHO I would say no. My question would be can you use the xbox headset in a pc jack?
July 15, 200619 yr Isn`t the boy flying the helicopter with his grandfather using the controller? Here you can find out how to set them up for FS9:http://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/archive/200.../17/513958.aspxKind regardsHorst

Just select it as your default output device, sit back on your couch (provided your PC is nearby), relax and enjoy the elegance of comfortable flying. Ahhh, it doesn't get any better..."I guess that means you can use the headset as a speaker, but no mention of it being used as a microphone yet...
