For the August and September monthly challenges we will be flying the shortest regularly scheduled flights with the two heaviest airliners; the Boeing 747-400 and the Airbus A380-800 which are available to all pilots regardless of ran, but only for the challenge. These flights are single leg scheduled flights and not a stopover or short hop as part of a longer route.

This month, we fly the shortest scheduled flight for the Boeing 747. The 250-mile flight between Tokyo (RJAA) and Osaka (RJOO). This flight operated for many years with the 747 running at max passenger capacity for the 747-400. Today this flight operates several times daily using the Airbus A321, Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 787-8.
