January 8, 200620 yr Hi allGreat to see a new version of FS under way. Of course realising that such a diverse program has an equally diverse audience here's just a couple of wishes.Being lucky enough to have a high end pc (AMD 4800+ X2 and 2 X 7800 GTX in SLI) I hope that FSX will be able to take advantage of the hardware (not to forget crossfire for the ATI users). It seems that all FS users want the best frame rates possible and as long as it doesn't affect the mainstream users it would be awesome to cater to this technology.I don't know about you guys but I find the outdated menu system in FS9 rather cumbersome and would like to see a more efficient interface in future versions. Particularly annoying is the fact that when changing small settings e.g fuel etc the sim pauses and a series of menus have to be accessed before continuing.I wonder if hotkeys to certain menu functions would be better that would do away with having to access the menu itself, we would be able to change environments dawn, day, dusk, night at the stroke of a key. Also a useful function would be able to alter the spot camera distance without everytime having to access the view menu (I know we can use the zoom function but I find this always distorts view). On a side note the graphics look visually stunning but I wonder if we are moving further away from true to life images in order to provide the eye candy. Rarely in life do I look out the window to see such colorful skies and beautiful sunsets. Don't get me wrong they are lovley graphics but something about the colours makes it the destinations look as if they were from a tourism book. Just a few thoughts. Have a great day.
