My Take on FS-X

Featured Replies

Hello, It is not often that I post, but I would like to share my thoughts on this release. Firstly we must congratulate the MSFS Team on what is looking to shape upto be an incredible simulator, as standard. As Standard - If we can leave all the talk of hardware out of this for a moment. FS-X as standard does indeed look incredible, but the MSFS Community has a long tradition of tweaking/adding to MSFS like no other software community. You just have to have a quick browse through AVSIM Fle Library to come across a bountiful supply on add-ons which really take the base program which MSFS has supplied and make it into something that is mind-blowing from when it was first released. It is my personal view, that the developers both freeware and payware are what makes MSFS, well, MSFS. If you can cast your mind forward a year past the release and imagine what MSFS will be like. Developers will find work-arounds to problems, we will get our various aircraft ported, scenery will transform and leap a generation. flyTampa and the PMDG 747-400 in FS-X, that would be something...That, in essence is what FS is about - pushing the boundary ourselves...and it looks like MSFS has given us more tools to which we can do this...Matthew Murray
