I have a very modest system (P4 2.8, Radeon 9550, 1GB ram), and FSX was not running very smoothly for me. Today, I dropped the resultion from 1280x (with no AA) to 1024x (with 2x AA). The sim is 10x more flyable in my estimation now, and looks better, too. I can maintain 21 fps (locked), smoothly, anywhere I go, and it looks better than FS9. Yipee!
