September 10, 200619 yr I realize this is a bit too late as I understand something like this could not be implemented into FSX at this late stage in development, but I was really hoping for random missions, and I don't mean just instrument failures. I fly strictly GA, but I do maintain flight plans, and fly within AT rules to various destinations. I am a stickler for realism, so try to maintain flights as I would have to in the real world. I'm not a pilot, so I am sure I still break rules I'm not even aware of. Perhaps this will help the Aces team understand what i was hoping for.I was hoping that there would be an option that one could select to activate all scripted missions so as to have them "at the ready" while one was doing a regular flight plan. To me it would be "as real as it gets" to be doing an ordinary flight (but unbeknownst to the pilot in the area where a mission is scripted) and all of a sudden receive a distress call, or have an engine flame out, or see an SOS on the ground, or a fire, or a flare, and all of a sudden find yourself in a dilemma of using that fuel to break off and investigate, contacting ATC and telling them of your intentions, and then answering the distress call and helping whoever is stranded, finding out what is causing the smoke, landing the aircraft with one engine out, etc. etc..I will appreciate the missions, and know that I will fly all of them that use GA aircraft, however, it would have been extremely gratifying to also have these missions there to discover randomly, depicted by one flying in the area the mission is scripted in.Looking forward to FSX. Judging from the comments and screenshots, it'll definitely be on my shopping list as an add-on to my new computer.
