I have a problem where ATC assign me to a parking spot other than a gate. I know that assigning parking_codes and parking_types to the aircraft that im using, as well as adding the same codes to the airport afcad, are only used for AI traffic.So is there any possible solution where ATC do assign passenger aircraft flown by someone to an appropriate gate?Apologies if this has been asked before.Thanks

ATC will then use the unassigned gate to park the user aircraft...even though others are unoccupied. I guess that has something to do with how they prioritize the gate selection. Mind you, the gate must be the correct size.

You might want to look into the parking radius, maybe your plane's radius setting is too big for the available gates. More info on this is in the AFCAD help file.
