Smoke setting to not be visible in playback?

Featured Replies

One my machine, some plane's contrails are visible in playback and some are not. It makes for a bad playback if the contrails are preceding the aircraft. Is there a way (smoke effect setting) to make this not visible in the playback? Thanks,Dennis Mitchell

Howdy, hope it's okay that this is my first post here, I'm a longtime lurker and simmer, gladtameetchya'll by the way....saw this with no replies yet, and since it's one of my favorite subjects, here goes:The default FS9 recording and playback utility really leaves a LOT to be desired in my opinion; effects and other things are either hit-and-miss or don't get recorded at all. There are some really better options.I've been using a nice utility called FSRecorder for a while, it's a very nice freeware gizmo that's small, efficient, and packed with some nice features....such as being able to replay a recording as an AI aircraft so you can then fly in formation wth it (REALLY cool for screenshots!). Check the link below (this is not any knd of recruiting effort for another forum website) for a longer descrition and screenshots of the capabilities and results... good luck!http://com-central.net/index.php?name=Foru...iewtopic&t=4170Stoop

Thanks, I will check it out.I still wonder why some smoke trails (wing vortex) show and others don't.Dennis
