It may improve loading time of the aircraft as the VC gauges don't need to be loaded with the panel. Other than that - I don't think it will make much of a difference. If the VC with all its polygons and textures isn't visible, it cannot hurt much.The major thing with complex VCs is the extra memory required by the aircraft model including the VC + cabin. That's why some products offer dedicated non-VC models which load quicker and use less memory.
