Aircraft shaking and bouncing on ground

Featured Replies

Hello therei have got an aircraft at the moment which i really like, and the only thing ruining the experience is that whenever i go for take off, taxi or any other ground maneuvers over 10KIAS the plane starts shaking up and down, making it almost impossible to takeoff and land with crash detection on.Could someone please help me find a solution to this problem.thankyou

Hello,it's a ground contacts problem. If you want specific help state the FS version and the a/c model then someone familiar may be able to give more specific advice.Ian

I am running fs2004 and using the POLIKARPOV "Ishak" I-16 Tip-18 by Ivan Hsu

While adjusting contact points for a helicopter yesterday I found that setting the Max/Static Compression Ratio too low caused this bouncing. I set it to .20 and the bouncing stopped, and I got the control I desired.

Where do I adjust this? I have the same issue, with the POSKY 737-700.

Yes where did you find this compression ratio,in the aircraft config file all i had was this under contact points:[contact_points] //0 Class //1 Longitudinal Position (feet) //2 Lateral Position (feet) //3 Vertical Position (feet) //4 Impact Damage Threshold (Feet Per Minute) //5 Brake Map (0=None, 1=Left, 2=Right) //6 Wheel Radius (feet) //7 Steer Angle (degrees) //8 Static Compression (feet) (0 if rigid) //9 Max/Static Compression Ratio //10 Damping Ratio (0=Undamped, 1=Critically Damped) //11 Extension Time (seconds) //12 Retraction Time (seconds) //13 Sound Type //14 Airspeed limit for retraction (KIAS) //15 Airspeed that gear gets damage at (KIAS)point.0=1, -13.19, 0.00, -1.97, 3200, 0, 0.30,180.0, 0.30, 2.5, 0.90, 3.0, 3.0, 0, 0, 235point.1=1, 1.06, -3.44, -5.82, 2200, 1, 1.36, 0.0, 0.45, 2.5, 0.83, 4.5, 4.5, 2, 0, 235point.2=1, 1.06, 3.44, -5.82, 2200, 2, 1.36, 0.0, 0.45, 2.5, 0.83, 4.5, 4.5, 3, 0, 235point.3=2, 0.00,-15.75, 3.67, 1200, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 5point.4=2, 0.00, 15.75, 3.67, 1200, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 6point.5=2, -17.40, 0.00, 0.28, 2400, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 9point.6=2, 4.67, 0.00, -2.19, 1200, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 4static_cg_height = 5.00 //(feet) altitude of CG when at rest (altitude when loaded on ground)static_pitch = 16.24 //degrees (pitch when loaded on ground)and im sort of not sure where to start...

With the POSKY 737-700 it's set at 0.65 yet I still get bouncing?
