October 10, 200619 yr I am not expecting RAM to help completley of course but it's got to help me because I am running an intel core 2 duo 2.13 ghz and only 1gb ram and not always but sometimes it's slow to even click buttons in FSX. Should I upgrade to 2gb or possibly 3 or just max it out at 4?? How can I find out what the best possible memory out there I can buy?? Thank you for your time.
October 10, 200619 yr Ram never hurts but I think I read 2gb is the sweet spot for FSX, and that it may use a little more but not over 3gb.
October 10, 200619 yr ok cool. My pc is definetley having a little trouble running FSX smoothly and I only have 1gb. Like I said clicking the buttons it lags a little and sometimes can get annoying. Also load times on long flights are very long. I am going to look to buy ram very soon....best part about buying ram is all you have to do is find out the best possible ram you can get for your pc and just buy it. Not like video cards where you buy a great one and then 6 months later that card is replaced by something much better.
October 10, 200619 yr During beta testing, ACES told us more memory is good cuz FSX will use it. During that time, I upped mine from 1Gb to 2Gb and notice a little better performance.Make sure the new RAM matches the existing.CalCYXX
