My contribution to FSX...

Featured Replies

I absolutely LOVE IT!I couldn't care less if water effects or autogen masses can't be handled by todays hardware. It was the same thing with FS9.But the feature I've been waiting for is finally here! Something I have been missing in FS9 since the beginning - smooth movement of controls. Like it is in real life I guess... (not real pilot). That's the thing that is going to push me forware to use VC now. For me that was one of the weakest links. And btw. if I turn off autogen and water effects and max out four first settings in scenery window together with largest textures and anisotropic filtering and AA, I flew around and got 25 fps locked all the time. Only hard weather brought 2 fps down, lol...Since my Core 2 Duo upgrade is due end of November, I guess this is going to be working much better then. Already looking forward.

Wow, a positive comment for FSX. This post should be framed. My copy is due on Friday and I can't wait. I've had good fps with the first demo, so hoping the retail version lives up to that.

Yeah, I can add also that 25 fps in FSX are NOT what 25 fps are in FS9. They seem much smoother than in FS9. And if I reach 30fps fix with my new system, what actually should be possible without little problem (should I add that I also usually madly overclock CPUs, since I have a mean watercooling :D), then after PMDG and LDS and other paywares release their updates, its going to be a utopia :D And lets hope there are NO CTDS!!!!
