I love FSX - help with some issues, please

Featured Replies

I think it's great. Good job, all who were involved. Now, I have a couple of issues. Perhaps someone can help shed some light.1) Water - My water 1.x high looks just like 1.x mid, and just like 1.x low without the glare from the sun. The water has motion, but looks like FS9 at the medium setting (shimmering, no rolling waves). I had this questions about the demo and no one at the time could offer ay insight. Perhaps this is the way it should be?2) After Matt's autogen tweaks, I can maintain 18 fps locked, and it's great - until about 50 feet above the runway, when it drops to about 11 and gets jerky. Again, this is only over the runway, so I wonder if it's related to a big runway texture?3) I see we have an N1 hold now, but I don't think we have a true airspeed hold yet, or maybe I'm mistaken. Does anyone else have additional insight?4) Is there anyone who has recently upgraded their videocard that would like to give it a new home? I'm running a doggy Radeon 9550SE, but just can't justify sinking more money into an otherwise perfectly good computer ;) PM me.Again, I think the sim is great. FS9 was gone after I installed the demo. (I'm not a big addon junkie).Earl

Depends on what runway. If your at one of the redone airports in FSX the ones that are in your cities scenery folders you will see a hugh bgl many times that of FS9. Now if its loading or feeding that info to your cpu at about that time it could be it.

It happens even at my local runway 0O5.
