Rewards, Logbook , photos & transparent panels in FSX

Featured Replies

These are all great new (or highly improved)features. Why hasnt anyone posted about them? I am interested in the auto logbook in FSX. Does it need to be a saved flight or does everytime you fly it logs it?What happens in the event of a crash? Does it throw out the entry? What about an incomplete flight or one that switches between differnt a/c inflight?Just trying to get an understanding of how it works. Also for those who said FS should have a career mode well with the rewards feature it kinda already does now. If a VA wants proof of time or abilities I wonder if this info can be exported or carried over to the next version.Perhaps an ACEs member can share some light on these questions. Also the picture book is a great feature. I have an addon exe that did that but you need to run in as a extra. I always forget to load it but now its always running in the sim and just a key stroke away. With Transparent panels it seems we can know see new types of HUD's for fighter planes was what i was thinking when I read about this feature. However the auto logbook to me was a great addition to know keep track of landings day and night. All that seems to be missing is weather info.

I believe the logbook records a crash in the Notes field. As for switching aircraft it simply ends one entry and creates a new one.
