Amazing experiences being had with FSX

Featured Replies

I am starting to get really thrilled with FSX now that I have the autogen files found here for buildings, trees and clouds. I have the MS recommended fsx.cfg file edited with the building and tree amounts set to only 300 each. Now, with most sliders still medium to high and very high for overall texture resolution - FSX on my XPS Gen 2 laptop is a dream. Steady, magical 24 locked FPS, and only dipping to 20fps in solid, overcast cloud layers (finally!!), snow and wind. I have flown jets and now the great Maule, to high mountain airstrips, surrounded by forests etc.. it's all there, in all it's glory! I use real VFR sectional charts, and it's all there, all back country strips. What an adventure! I hope others are starting to just enjoy the quality and excitement we have here!! Peter
