October 13, 200619 yr One of the things I really like in FSX is the haze at altitude. It seems FS9 has trouble creating this, with the ground losing the haze effect once you reach a certain height (around 12k?). Would a registered version of FSUIPC help to create this in FS9? Or would another program do the job? Thanks,Todd
October 13, 200619 yr A quick fix--locate my "Soft Horizons" update in the file library and it improves the haze all around. Also, in FS9 there is a visibility ceiling in the weather settings. The haze caused by the vis setting in the weather dialog can suddenly clear if it isn't extended to an altitude higher than your flight level. -JohnEdit: Here's a link to "Soft Horizons". The preview jpg gives a good example of its effect, even at unlimited vis.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...misc&DLID=67829
October 13, 200619 yr Thanks John,I wish FE had a similar effect to your Soft Horizons. Also didn't know or forgot about the vis setting. Had FS9 for 3 years and still learning stuff, sheesh.Cheers,Todd
