October 15, 200619 yr Hello all!In amongst all the technical tweaks queries I jump in with an eye-candy question. Deep sighs all around http://www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk/boa...con_redface.gifI have read this excellent website on FSX views & cameras:http://www.fsinsider.com/About/Learning-Ce...and-Windows.htmAnd I have also searched in the sims own help files but have been unable to find any assistance to make FSX recognise "fixed" wingview view-points like we have in FS9, y'know...these:-----------------------------------------------VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_EYE=-0.400, -0.300, -20.000VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=0.000, 0.000, 74.300VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=0.800, -0.200, -16.000VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=4.000, 0.000, 92.000VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_EYE=0.200, 0.300, -0.300VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=6.000, 0.000, 137.000VIEW_REAR_EYE=-1.500, 0.300, -5.500VIEW_REAR_DIR=31.000, 0.000, 235.000VIEW_REAR_LEFT_EYE=0.400, 0.300, -0.300VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=6.000, 0.000, 222.200VIEW_LEFT_EYE=0.000, -0.200, -16.000VIEW_LEFT_DIR=4.000, 0.000, 268.000VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_EYE=0.800, -0.300, -20.000VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=0.000, 0.000, 287.600-----------------------------------------------I did add the lines to the panel.cfg of a 737 but the views do not work. Im guessing that FSX will not recognise such lines in the panel.cfg or that a tweak needs to be done to the camera.cfg (?) but I thought I would put this past you uber-tweakers & gurus...could you please help/advice?Thanx :)
October 15, 200619 yr In FS7, 8, 9, backward compatability made things like views work the same in each. Not so with FSX, especially with "views".On Disc 1 you'll find SDK's, one of which is on how to define your own Camera views. You'll quickly realize it's far better than in the past.CalCYXX
