FSX Lock Ups

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i've been a long time reader but this is my first post . Well i've got a problem with FSX constantly locking up after about 10mins and its driving me nuts. I've contacted Microsoft's "no help desk" but all I've got someone who can hardly speak a word of English and is just following the script they have in front of them, its really fustraiting. My system specs are as follows:AMD athlon 4200 x2 (stock speeds)2Gbs of Ram (stock speeds)2 WD Raptor in raid 0x1900 XT (stock speeds) with cat 6.9 drivers installedASUS A8R32-MVP Duluxe with a the latest BIOS updateSoundblaster X-fi Fatality with latest driversThe really irritating thing is tho the BETA version worked GREAT! I've not tried the demo though.Really i just want to know if anyone else has had simerlr problems and if they have how did they fix it?all suggestions are welcome as well HELP!!!

Hi, I am having a similar problem. When I used the pre-release demo it would only run for about 1-2mins before a blue screen or a reboot happening. Now I have the retail version installed I am just getting system reboots. This seems to be hapening randomly and its happening with both low and high graphics settings. I can fly for 10mins and I get a reboot, then another time I can fly for a couple of hours before it reboots.I have a ATI X600 with 256MB memory and I am also using cat the 6.9 drivers. I also have the latest drivers for my Xear3D sound card installed. My system is a P4 3.4GHz HT. I am wondering whether it's somthing to do with the cat 6.9 drivers. All the bestIan

yeah i thought that so i tryed the cat 6.6 drivers aswell, still with no joy. i've tryed updating directx, running fs in windowed mode all kinds of things nothing has made a differentce.all my other programs/games run just great
