max resolution mesh and texture (3rd party developers)

Featured Replies

Just curious if we will ever actually see 7cm/pixel texture resolution and 1m/pixel mesh with FSX. I know this is what it maxes out at. I can't imagine how sweet that would be but the ultimate question is how would it look when close to the ground and getting ready to land with an angle at the ground. I would think that it would still not look that great since it was based on a picture. It would still be best viewed from top-down view?? Or am I wrong?? Can someone help explain this?? Is the only way to see awesome 3d graphics with high res and high detail when landing with that angle coming in to land with pure autogen details?? It seems like it would be awesome to have this high res photoreal (aerial photography) scenery but how good would it look when landing?? Will we always need add ons like FZ01 and FZ02 to really appreciate landing?? I am not complaining by having these awesome details by any means. I would love it, especially because it would be national data. We could fly anywhere in the US anyway and see everything in extremely high detail but then when we were ready to descend and land what would it look like??
