Backing Up FSX Files

Featured Replies

Hi all, Since the scenery, texture, etc. folders are so large,Is it possable to recover these off of the dvd's instead of backing these large files to limited hard drive space? Also is there a list of specific file locations in the zipped files on the cd's? Thank's from Jim:-)

Yes, easy, put disk in drive, carry out repair install. No reactivation required. You could have found this out by just putting the disk in the drive! I haven't looked at the file formats on the DVD's yet, but no doubt the files are also stored in some compressed format you can extract with Winzip ir WinRar.Allcott

Hi,Suggestion: install FSX on another machine, but do not activate. Then all default files are there in their default state.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
