October 19, 200619 yr Nice to see FSX reintroduce the mouse as yoke feature. At least that is what the documentation says.I have a Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse with the latest 3.1 drivers. Dont care about the yoke, but would like the panning ability to work.My mouse works fine except the panning and yoke function.Any help appreciated.
October 19, 200619 yr Follow up in case another dummy overlooked what I did.DUH!!!!Ever since version 1 of FS I have used the keyboard to fly FS. Although I do have a yoke and a FF joystick I just prefer the keyboard. So the reason I could not use my mouse as a yoke or change views was because I did not have a controller selected! Duh. Once I checked the nice graphical button viola it works.I might add, I think I will start flying with the mouse. Very, very smooth! And nice to just hit the spacebar to look around. Sweet.

October 19, 200619 yr Yes, mouse as yoke (and of course mouse look) is very welcome. The only mystery is why Microsoft dropped mouse as yoke a couple of versions ago (until then it was a bog standard feature). But there is one problem that this reveals, hopefully one that will be fixed in a patch. When using mouse as yoke, sometimes the output of the joystick overrides the mouse control. The obvious solution is to use the keyboard command to disable the joystick. The command does a great job of disabling the joystick. Trouble is, it disables mouse as yoke as well! (and mouse look). Unless it's specific to my system, it's difficult to see how that got through the beta testers.Best regards, Chris
