FSX's CRJ is making the switch bearable

Featured Replies

Logging on the forum I could see the smoke rising from everyone bombing FSX....Frame rates etc. BUT..... I like it!My first try was mixed, hoping for more changes i.e. same wx, no sid/stars etc..., messing with the frame rates..... and so on....So I decided to turn all the graphics/traffic to the bare bones and just fly, the CRJ from SFO-LAX, IFR. Wow, I had FUN! Even with the low graphic settings, I had a more real flying experience than ever before. I just liked the views and feel of the experience, and flying the airplane. ( ok critics, the CRJ is not as good as an add-on airplane, and I have too many of those for FS9). I walked out of the house today happy, knowing I got the new FSX, and I am so looking forward to flying the 727 on FSX ( when released). Ya I know, I need a new computer (crap), and it needs to be "FAST" and costs lots of $$$, so I'm saving up! I am also looking forward to seeing what the crazed flight sim add-on designers will come up with!

You'll be amazed at how high you can turn the graphics up whilst maintating good frames if you apply certain tweaks.James
