So has anyone have a idea what would be the setting for FSX if you ran FS2004 at all max display setting? It would run fine for me(2004).You could say this Sim is just a head of it time, made for the coumpter of 2008 time frame!!

Difficult, because some things port across as directly comparable, while others dont. Autogen is broadly comparable at Extremely Dense on FS9 and sparse in FSX, but even then the ratio and volumes are different. The native mesh settings in FS9 and FSX also don't compare. Textures also are higher quality in FSX so you'd need to halve those to get in to the FS9 ballpark.But at the end of the day, who wants to compare default FS9 withhdefault FSX? The comparison is really between FS9 and three years worth of addons and upgrades, and default FSX. And there's no way that anyone can directly compare, as addons are different.Allcott
