October 21, 200619 yr Everybody's high on consolationEverybody's trying to tell me what's right for meMy daddy tried to bore me with a sermonbut it's plain to see that they can't comfort meSorry Charlie for the impositionI think I've got it, got the strength to carry onI need a drink and a quick decisionNow it's up to me, ooh what will beChorus:She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'dbetter learn how to face itShe's Gone Oh I, Oh I'dpay the devil to replace herShe's Gone - what went wrongUp in the morning look in the mirrorI'm worn as her tooth brush hanging in the standmy face ain't looking any youngernow I can see love's taken her toll on meShe's GoneThink I'll spend eternity in the citylet the carbon and monoxide choke my thoughts awayand pretty bodies help dissolve the memoriesbut they can never be what she was to meShe's Gone (FS2004 that is - probably not what Hall & Oates had in mind)I hit the "uninstall" button today - I hated to do it and it was good while it lasted - but - oh well - meet my new main squeeze - FSX (Deluxe Edition)!! From what I can see so far looks like it's going to be a real long term relationship.Bill
October 21, 200619 yr Tell you what.i put FS9 on yesterday just to look,I've had FSX week or so.Fs9 lasted appox 30 secs...no comparison for me. best wishes steve
October 21, 200619 yr Well, thats you stuffed then Bill!Brave. Very brave to make the leap this early. Especially when the ported versions of FSX UT will look for the previous installation of UT in FS9 and copy over the files it needs. Now you need to download all those gigs all over again!I'm still going to be using FS9 for some time. Never thought I'd be so happy to see `20fps` on a screen display!Allcott
October 21, 200619 yr Good point on the download but bandwidth is cheap these days!I agree with Steve - there's no comparison. Once you've tweaked FSX to run on your rig there's no going back in my opinion. Like I said -it was a good ride on FS2004 but there's a new sheriff in town.CheersBill
October 22, 200619 yr I would have thought the following lyrics from the great B.B. King were more appropriate:PatchesI'm depending on you, sonI've tried to do my bestIt's up to you to do the rest;)
