Windows XP Pro (64-bit) and FSX

Featured Replies

Anyone running FSX in XPpro? Wonder if the 64-bit makes a diff in FPS at all. I've got the 32-bit version XP and it recognizes only 3GB of my 4GB RAM and it displays only 512MB of video memory with a 1GB video card (Nvidia GX2). Although, alienware assures me the "system" is using the multi-GPU function and 1GB memory, I can't tell from looking at display tab/or dxdiag (which says 512MB).By the way, cool FSX shot below "sun and moon". I'm running ASv6.5 weather with FSUIPC 4.02 and no impacts on FPS with it in background (good news).ThanksRakeAMD FX-60Nvidia 7950 GX2 (1GB)4 GB LL RAMRaptor 150GB 10000rpm HDDell 24" wide (1950x1200 res for FSX)fsxualsunmoon.jpg

I am using XP64. I changed half a year ago and can only say great things about it. I run the sim with 2 gigabyte and since i changed from XP all stutters were gone forever. No problems with FSX SO far, but would like to know, if some tries vista RC1.

Can you be specific...what are your settings and what FPS are you getting?ThanksRake
