August 15, 20205 yr Hi all, Planning to get back into simming after a 10+ year hiatus. I’m thinking about a large format 40-55” TV with a trackIR. Screen tearing will probably drive me nuts. I don’t see much point in trying to get above 60fps in either 1440 or 4K, but it seems like a VRR (g sync?) option makes sense. 1) can you lock nvidia drivers to a certain goal FPS? 2) do nvidia 20x0 cards support hdmi 2.1 forum VRR? Or just g sync? Or so something in between. What about the upcoming 30x0 series? 3) can anyone point me to a sub $1k VA TV 43-55 in that would be appropriate for MSFS? I was looking at this TCL 6 series. Looks like it has hdmi 2.1 but I can’t tell whether that means it will work with a nvidia card or not.
