FSX working!!

Featured Replies

I have always found that the more you boot up things, the more XP learns(??)From stuttering, abysmal frame rates, I now have near to same frame rates that I had with Fs9.I have set everything to approx where Fs9 was, and slowly FSX is coming better each flight. Mid range sliders, cars 15%, Scenery Dense, water +1X, other aircraft 30% etc.I have now completed three major flights in default A321 that were pretty nice.AS6.5 is supposed to work with FSX (yet to try), and stuff is coming together.Of course with no FSP, sim seems empty!I was jumped on landing by an MD80, so no change in ATC there! What improvements I see are Scenery, and aircraft handling in weather...not so much 'on the rails' flights, but a more genuine bump and grind through turbulance. (pass the sick bag)A321 has, to me, a reasonable flight model, but APR not just as good as Fs9. OK, I usually take over at 1000ft + anyway on landing, so not really an issue for me.Loading times are a joke! I understand there is a fix to make this much quicker at cost of scenery rendition above 75 miles or so...seems a fair trade off.Default 737, I cannot get to handle well at all.My home airport of Glasgow is better represented, with city landmarks that surprise me being in default. So, by no means 100% or near it, but compared to first few days much much better.Alt+Enter will not work, even if programmed, so stuck with Cntrl Q.A key on views, is great! Love the undercarraige view!P2.4, 5700Gforce, 2MB RAMSaitek EVO that is brand new and 'doing my nut in' getting it to stay configured!
